A wicked rad guided tour of young love in 30 minutes or less! One of Chicago’s best indie rock exports in some time, Beach Bunny gives you everything you want and none of what you don’t. The song-craft here is deceptively simple, with lyrics succinct enough to burrow into your brain and hooks in seemingly every section of song. Like a holiday tree so full of ornaments that your dog knocks some off and you have to find where they went under the couch. I have it on good authority that they are also a must-see live act, naturally, when those come back in a safer world. That isn’t to say that you can’t still crank this up in your kitchen and sing along into a wooden spoon. In fact, this author would recommend doing just that!
