The Black Tones – My Name’s Not Abraham Lincoln

I first heard The Black Tones on Friday, and this song has been stuck in my head since Friday. The song is more or less a chorus, over and over again, with my favorite being “My name’s not Ronald Reagan, I don’t know who I am.” This 3 and a half minute loop is based around some pleasant guitar strumming with some minimal percussion and keys. This song is a lovely reminder of how nice a few chords and words can be. This is also a departure their other songs which throw together a nice blues, grunge, rock n roll vibe.
